Skogen is Senior Scientist and Director of the Botanical Garden at the University of Vienna in Austria. Prior to her work there, she was an associate professor at Clemson University, and Conservation Scientist and Manager of the Conservation and Land Management Internship Program at Chicago Botanic Gardens. She holds a PhD in ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of Connecticut.
