In May, alumni who’ve built careers, families, and communities across the country stepped back into the rhythm of campus and connected with old friends, golfed at Shoreland, enjoyed hayrides in the Arboretum, engaged in lectures led by faculty and alumni, explored the famous tunnels, and gathered for a discussion of the Great Gustie Read. Others took cooking and flower arranging classes, competed at jigsaw puzzles, did yoga, and sang in the Alumni Choir during a remembrance worship service in Christ Chapel. And they danced at a block party in downtown Saint Peter.
Reunion Weekend was a powerful reminder that “coming home to the Hill” isn’t just about nostalgia or partying. It’s about returning to the place and the people who understand you, your traditions, your pride, and the ways Gustavus helped launch your life.
